तेषां तु भैक्षं परतिगृह्य कृष्णा; कृत्वा बलिं बरह्मणसाच च कृत्वा तां चैव वृद्धां परिविष्य तांश च; नरप्रवीरान सवयम अप्य अभुङ्क्त ।। १-१८५-९ ।।

sanskrit

'Upon their return later, Krishna took what they had obtained as alms, devoted a portion to the gods, and gave another portion to Brahmanas. After this, she gave a portion to the venerable lady and distributed the remainder among those five foremost men. And she took a little for herself and ate it last of all.' ।। 1-185-9 ।।

english translation

teSAM tu bhaikSaM paratigRhya kRSNA; kRtvA baliM barahmaNasAca ca kRtvA tAM caiva vRddhAM pariviSya tAMza ca; narapravIrAna savayama apya abhuGkta || 1-185-9 ||
