भीमसेनं ययौ शल्यॊ मद्राणाम ईश्वरॊ बली दुर्यॊधनादयस तव अन्ये बराह्मणैः सह संगताः मृदुपूर्वम अयत्नेन परतयुध्यंस तदाहवे ॥ १-१८१-८ ॥
'In that battle, the mighty Shalya, the lord of the Madras, challenged Bhimasena, while Duryodhana and your other allies, accompanied by Brahmins, fought unhurriedly and with little effort against their opponents.' ॥ 1-181-8 ॥
