पातिते भीमसेनेन शल्ये कर्णे च शङ्किते शङ्किताः सर्वराजानः परिवव्रुर वृकॊदरम ॥ १-१८१-२६ ॥
'When Salya was thrown down and Karna filled with fear, the other monarchs were alarmed. They quickly surrounded Bhima and exclaimed:' ॥ 1-181-26 ॥

pAtite bhImasenena zalye karNe ca zaGkite zaGkitAH sarvarAjAnaH parivavrura vRkòdarama ॥ 1-181-26 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptऊचुश च सहितास तत्र साध्व इमे बराह्मणर्षभाः विज्ञायन्तां कव जन्मानः कव निवासास तथैव च ॥ १-१८१-२७ ॥
'They said together there, "Indeed, these excellent brahmins: Let it be known where they were born and where they dwell as well."' ॥ 1-181-27 ॥

Ucuza ca sahitAsa tatra sAdhva ime barAhmaNarSabhAH vijJAyantAM kava janmAnaH kava nivAsAsa tathaiva ca ॥ 1-181-27 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptकॊ हि राधा सुतं कर्मं शक्तॊ यॊधयितुं रणे अन्यत्र रामाद दरॊणाद वा कृपाद वापि शरद्वतः ॥ १-१८१-२८ ॥
'Who indeed is capable of battling Karna, the son of Radha, elsewhere in the field, apart from Rama, Drona, or even Kripa, the son of Sharadvan?' ॥ 1-181-28 ॥

kò hi rAdhA sutaM karmaM zaktò yòdhayituM raNe anyatra rAmAda daròNAda vA kRpAda vApi zaradvataH ॥ 1-181-28 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptकृष्णाद वा देवकीपुत्रात फल्गुनाद वा परंतपात कॊ वा दुर्यॊधनं शक्तः परतियॊधयितुं रणे ॥ १-१८१-२९ ॥
'Who else can challenge Duryodhana in battle, whether it be Krishna, the son of Devaki, or Arjuna, the mighty warrior?' ॥ 1-181-29 ॥

kRSNAda vA devakIputrAta phalgunAda vA paraMtapAta kò vA duryòdhanaM zaktaH paratiyòdhayituM raNe ॥ 1-181-29 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतथैव मद्रराजानं शल्यं बलवतां वरम बलदेवाद ऋते वीरात पाण्डवाद वा वृकॊदरात ॥ १-१८१-३० ॥
'Who can defeat Salya, the foremost among mighty warriors, except the heroic Valadeva, Vrikodara, son of Pandu, or the valiant Duryodhana?' ॥ 1-181-30 ॥

tathaiva madrarAjAnaM zalyaM balavatAM varama baladevAda Rte vIrAta pANDavAda vA vRkòdarAta ॥ 1-181-30 ॥
