बराह्मणार्थं हि नॊ राज्यं जीवितं च वसूनि च पुत्रपौत्रं च यच चान्यद अस्माकं विद्यते धनम ॥ १-१८०-९ ॥
'As regards this Brahmana, although he hath, from officiousness or avarice, caused this injury to the monarchs, he should not be slain; for our kingdoms, lives, treasures, sons, grandsons, and all other wealth exist for the Brahmanas.' ॥ 1-180-9 ॥
