तेन यज्ञेन शुभ्रेण हूयमानेन युक्तितः तद विदीपितम आकाशं सूर्येणेव घनात्यये ॥ १-१७२-६ ॥

'And the son of Saktri, akin to the Sun emerging from behind clouds, illuminated the entire firmament with his immaculate sacrifice, where plentiful offerings of clarified butter were poured' ॥ 1-172-6 ॥

'Then Vasishtha and the other sages beheld that Muni, radiant with his own energy, as if he were a second sun.' ॥ 1-172-7 ॥

'Thus Pulastya, Pulaha, and Kratu as well approached Amitragha (destroyer of enemies), with the desire to live, for performing the great ritual sacrifice against the Rakshasas.' ॥ 1-172-9 ॥
