ततॊ वृद्धांश च बालांश च राक्षसान स महामुनिः ददाह वितते यज्ञे शक्तेर वधम अनुस्मरन ॥ १-१७२-३ ॥

'And recalling the slaying of his father Shakti, the great sage began to consume the Rakshasas, both young and old, in the sacrificial ritual he conducted.' ॥ 1-172-3 ॥

tatò vRddhAMza ca bAlAMza ca rAkSasAna sa mahAmuniH dadAha vitate yajJe zaktera vadhama anusmarana ॥ 1-172-3 ॥
