सर्वराक्षस सत्राय संभृतं पावकं मुनिः उत्तरे हिमवत्पार्श्वे उत्ससर्ज महावने ।। १-१७२-१६ ।।

sanskrit

'And the Rishi cast the fire that he had ignited for the Rakshasas' sacrifice into the dense forests to the north of the Himalayas.' ।। 1-172-16 ।।

english translation

sarvarAkSasa satrAya saMbhRtaM pAvakaM muniH uttare himavatpArzve utsasarja mahAvane || 1-172-16 ||

स तत्राद्यापि रक्षांसि वृक्षान अश्मान एव च भक्षयन दृश्यते वह्निः सदा पर्वणि पर्वणि ।। १-१७२-१७ ।।

'Even to this day, that fire can be observed consuming Rakshasas, trees, and stones incessantly across all seasons.' ।। 1-172-17 ।।

sa tatrAdyApi rakSAMsi vRkSAna azmAna eva ca bhakSayana dRzyate vahniH sadA parvaNi parvaNi || 1-172-17 ||
