स ताञ शतावरान पुत्रान वसिष्ठस्य महात्मनः भक्षयाम आस संक्रुद्धः सिंहः कषुद्रमृगान इव ।। १-१६६-३८ ।।

'Similar to a ferocious lion consuming its prey, the Rakshasa swiftly devoured the younger sons of the renowned Vasishtha, following the pattern of his attack on Saktri.' ।। 1-166-38 ।।

english translation

sa tAJa zatAvarAna putrAna vasiSThasya mahAtmanaH bhakSayAma Asa saMkruddhaH siMhaH kaSudramRgAna iva || 1-166-38 ||
