कॊ ऽयम अन्नम इदं भुङ्क्ते मदर्थम उपकल्पितम पश्यतॊ मम दुर्बुद्धिर यियासुर यमसादनम ॥ १-१५१-६ ॥
'Who is this fool, daring to eat the food meant for me right before my eyes, as if he seeks a swift journey to the realm of Yama?' ॥ 1-151-6 ॥
english translation
भीमसेनस तु तच छरुत्वा परहसन्न इव भारत राक्षसं तम अनादृत्य भुङ्क्त एव पराङ्मुखः ॥ १-१५१-७ ॥
'Upon hearing these words, Bhima, O Bharata, smiled derisively and, paying no heed to the Rakshasa, kept eating with his face turned away.' ॥ 1-151-7 ॥
english translation
ततः स भैरवं कृत्वा समुद्यम्य कराव उभौ अभ्यद्रवद भीमसेनं जिघांसुः पुरुषादकः ॥ १-१५१-८ ॥
'Observing this, the cannibal let out a terrifying roar and, with both arms raised, charged at Bhima with the intention to kill him on the spot.' ॥ 1-151-8 ॥
english translation
तथापि परिभूयैनं नेक्षमाणॊ वृकॊदरः राक्षसं भुङ्क्त एवान्नं पाण्डवः परवीरहा ॥ १-१५१-९ ॥
'Yet, Bhima, unmindful of the Rakshasa, merely glanced at him and continued consuming the Rakshasa's meal.' ॥ 1-151-9 ॥

अमर्षेण तु संपूर्णः कुन्तीपुत्रस्य राक्षसः जघान पृष्ठं पाणिभ्यांम उभाभ्यां पृष्ठतः सथितः ॥ १-१५१-१० ॥
'Enraged by this, the Rakshasa struck Bhima forcefully from behind with both arms.' ॥ 1-151-10 ॥
