तद वृक्षयुद्धम अभवन महीरुह विनाशनम घॊररूपं महाराज बकपाण्डवयॊर महत ॥ १-१५१-१६ ॥
'Then, O king, the battle with trees between the human and the Rakshasa grew so intense that the surrounding area quickly became devoid of trees.' ॥ 1-151-16 ॥
english translation
नाम विश्राव्य तु बकः समभिद्रुत्य पाण्डवम भुजाभ्यां परिजग्राह भीमसेनं महाबलम ॥ १-१५१-१७ ॥
'It was then that the Rakshasa, identifying himself as Vaka, pounced upon the Pandava and grasped mighty Bhima with his arms.' ॥ 1-151-17 ॥

भीमसेनॊ ऽपि तद रक्षः परिरभ्य महाभुजः विस्फुरन्तं महावेगं विचकर्ष बलाद बली ॥ १-१५१-१८ ॥
'That mighty hero also clasping with his own strong arms the strong-armed Rakshasa, and exerting himself actively, began to drag him violently.' ॥ 1-151-18 ॥

स कृष्यमाणॊ भीमेन कर्षमाणश च पाण्डवम समयुज्यत तीव्रेण शरमेण पुरुषादकः ॥ १-१५१-१९ ॥
'That mighty hero also clasping with his own strong arms the strong-armed Rakshasa, and exerting himself actively, began to drag him violently.' ॥ 1-151-19 ॥

तयॊर वेगेन महता पृथिवीसमकम्पत पादपांश च महाकायांश चूर्णयाम आसतुस तदा ॥ १-१५१-२० ॥
'As Bhima dragged the cannibal and was dragged by him in return, the cannibal grew weary. Their combined strength caused the earth to tremble, shattering the large trees that stood nearby.' ॥ 1-151-20 ॥
