तस्य वयवसितस तयागॊ बुद्धिम आस्थाय कां तवया कच चिन न दुःखैर बुद्धिस ते विप्लुता गतचेतसः ॥ १-१५०-११ ॥
'By what reasoning did you come to the decision to abandon him who is set in our service? Has your mind been clouded by sorrow, or have your thoughts become confused?' ॥ 1-150-11 ॥
english translation
[कु] युधिष्ठिर न संतापः कार्यः परति वृकॊदरम न चायं बुद्धिदौर्बल्याद वयवसायः कृतॊ मया ॥ १-१५०-१२ ॥
'Upon hearing her son's words, Kunti said, "Yudhishthira, you need not worry about Vrikodara. My decision is not due to any lack of understanding."' ॥ 1-150-12 ॥
english translation
इह विप्रस्य भवने वयं पुत्र सुखॊषिताः तस्य परतिक्रिया तात मयेयं परसमीक्षिता एतावान एव पुरुषः कृतं यस्मिन न नश्यति ॥ १-१५०-१३ ॥
'Inspired by his kindness and finding solace in his shelter, we have been living comfortably in the Brahmana's house, away from the sight of the sons of Dhritarashtra. To repay the Brahmana's kindness, I have made this decision. His noble deeds will never go unrewarded; the return for his services will exceed even the services rendered.' ॥ 1-150-13 ॥

दृष्ट्वा भीष्मस्य विक्रान्तं तदा जतु गृहे महत हिडिम्बस्य वधाच चैव विश्वासॊ मे वृकॊदरे ॥ १-१५०-१४ ॥
'Witnessing Bhima's strength during our escape from the lacquer house and in the defeat of Hidimba, I have full confidence in Vrikodara.' ॥ 1-150-14 ॥
english translation
बाह्वॊर बलं हि भीमस्य नागायुत समं महत येन यूयं गजप्रख्या निर्व्यूढा वारणावतात ॥ १-१५०-१५ ॥
'Bhima's might is unmatched; he carried each of you, as heavy as elephants, from Varanavata.' ॥ 1-150-15 ॥
