मथ्यमानेव दुःखेन हृदयेन पृथा ततः उवाच भीमं कल्याणी कृपान्वितम इदं वचः ॥ १-१४५-११ ॥
'Moved deeply by the grief as if it were her own, Pritha then addressed Bhima with these compassionate words.' ॥ 1-145-11 ॥
english translation
वसामः सुसुखं पुत्र बराह्मणस्य निवेशने अज्ञाता धार्तराष्ट्राणां सत्कृता वीतमन्यवः ॥ १-१४५-१२ ॥
'Our troubles alleviated, my son, we are living happily in the house of this Brahmana, respected by him and unknown to Dhritarashtra's sons.' ॥ 1-145-12 ॥
english translation
सा चिन्तये सदा पुत्र बराह्मणस्यास्य किं नव अहम परियं कुर्याम इति गृहे यत कुर्युर उषिताः सुखम ॥ १-१४५-१३ ॥
'She always ponders, 'My son, what new thing can I do for this Brahmana? Whatever the householders do in their homes for their comfort, I should do the same.' ॥ 1-145-13 ॥
english translation
एतावान पुरुषस तात कृतं यस्मिन न नश्यति यावच च कुर्याद अन्यॊ ऽसय कुर्याद अभ्यधिकं ततः ॥ १-१४५-१४ ॥
'A true man is one who never forgets kindness shown to him. He repays others with more than he receives from them.' ॥ 1-145-14 ॥
english translation
तद इदं बराह्मणस्यास्य दुःखम आपतितं धरुवम तत्रास्या यदि साहाय्यं कुर्याम सुकृतं भवेत ॥ १-१४५-१५ ॥
'Undoubtedly, some affliction has befallen this Brahmana. If we could assist him in any way, we would be repaying his kindness.' ॥ 1-145-15 ॥
