समास ते चैव मे सर्वे यूयं चैव न संशयः दीनतॊ बालतश चैव सनेहं कुर्वन्ति बान्धवाः ॥ १-१४४-९ ॥

sanskrit

'Undoubtedly, in my eyes, the sons of Dhritarashtra and you are equal. However, people tend to show more affection towards those in misfortune or of tender age.' ॥ 1-144-9 ॥

english translation

samAsa te caiva me sarve yUyaM caiva na saMzayaH dInatò bAlataza caiva sanehaM kurvanti bAndhavAH ॥ 1-144-9 ॥
