ततॊ वृतॊ मया भर्ता तव पुत्रॊ महाबलः अपनेतुं च यतितॊ न चैव शकितॊ मया ॥ १-१४२-९ ॥

sanskrit

'I was then drawn towards your son and mentally chose him as my husband. Though I tried my best to take you away, I could not do so due to your son's opposition.' ॥ 1-142-9 ॥

english translation

tatò vRtò mayA bhartA tava putrò mahAbalaH apanetuM ca yatitò na caiva zakitò mayA ॥ 1-142-9 ॥
