पुनर भीमॊ बलाद एनं विचकर्ष महाबलः मा शब्दः सुखसुप्तानां भरातॄणां मे भवेद इति ॥ १-१४१-२१ ॥
'Sensing the danger of awakening his brothers who were sleeping peacefully, mighty Bhima dragged the Rakshasa even further away with great force.' ॥ 1-141-21 ॥
english translation
अन्यॊन्यं तौ समासाद्य विचकर्षतुर ओजसा राक्षसॊ भीमसेनश च विक्रमं चक्रतुः परम ॥ १-१४१-२२ ॥
'Approaching each other, they wrestled fiercely, the Rakshasa and Bhimasena, displaying their utmost strength.' ॥ 1-141-22 ॥

बभञ्जतुर महावृक्षाँल लताश चाकर्षतुस ततः मत्ताव इव सुसंरब्धौ वारणौ षष्टिहायनौ ॥ १-१४१-२३ ॥
'Fighting like two enraged elephants, they proceeded to smash trees and tear apart the vines around them.' ॥ 1-141-23 ॥

तयॊः शब्देन महता विबुद्धास ते नरर्षभाः सह मात्रा तु ददृशुर हिडिम्बाम अग्रतः सथिताम ॥ १-१४१-२४ ॥
'And at those sounds, those tigers among men (the sleeping Pandavas) woke up with their mother, and saw Hidimva sitting before them.' ॥ 1-141-24 ॥
