धार्यौ परयत्नतॊ गर्भाव इत्य उक्त्वा स महातपाः ते भार्ये वरसंहृष्टे कश्यपॊ वनम आविशत ॥ १-१४-११ ॥
'Having thus spoken, the illustrious Kasyapa, who was devoted to ascetic practices, made great efforts to bear the burden of his wives' pregnancies. Pleased with the boon, he entered the forest.'॥ 1-14-11 ॥
english translation
dhAryau parayatnatò garbhAva itya uktvA sa mahAtapAH te bhArye varasaMhRSTe kazyapò vanama Avizata ॥ 1-14-11 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptकालेन महता कद्रूर अण्डानां दशतीर दश जनयाम आस विप्रेन्द्र दवे अण्डे विनता तदा ॥ १-१४-१२ ॥
'Sauti continued, 'O best of regenerate ones, after a long time, Kadru brought forth a thousand eggs, and Vinata two.'॥ 1-14-12 ॥
english translation
kAlena mahatA kadrUra aNDAnAM dazatIra daza janayAma Asa viprendra dave aNDe vinatA tadA ॥ 1-14-12 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतयॊर अण्डानि निदधुः परहृष्टाः परिचारिकाः सॊपस्वेदेषु भाण्डेषु पञ्चवर्षशतानि च ॥ १-१४-१३ ॥
'Delighted, the attendants carefully placed the eggs in different vessels, and for five hundred years, they were kept in favorable conditions.'॥ 1-14-13 ॥

tayòra aNDAni nidadhuH parahRSTAH paricArikAH sòpasvedeSu bhANDeSu paJcavarSazatAni ca ॥ 1-14-13 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptततः पञ्चशते काले कद्रू पुत्रा निविःसृताः अण्डाभ्यां विनतायास तु मिथुनं न वयदृश्यत ॥ १-१४-१४ ॥
'Five hundred years passed away, and a thousand eggs produced by Kadru burst, and out came the progeny. But the twins of Vinata did not appear.'॥ 1-14-14 ॥

tataH paJcazate kAle kadrU putrA niviHsRtAH aNDAbhyAM vinatAyAsa tu mithunaM na vayadRzyata ॥ 1-14-14 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptततः पुत्रार्थिणी देवी वरीडिता सा तपस्विनी अण्डं बिभेद विनता तत्र पुत्रम अदृक्षत ॥ १-१४-१५ ॥
'Then, the goddess desiring offspring, who was engaged in penance, cracked open an egg, and there she beheld a son.'॥ 1-14-15 ॥
