[वै] एवम उक्तेषु राज्ञा तु पाण्डवेषु महात्मसु दुर्यॊधनः परं हर्षम आजगाम दुरात्मवान ॥ १-१३२-१ ॥
'Vaisampayana said, "O Bharata, the wicked Duryodhana was filled with great pleasure when the king addressed the Pandavas in such a manner."' ॥ 1-132-1 ॥
english translation
[vai] evama ukteSu rAjJA tu pANDaveSu mahAtmasu duryòdhanaH paraM harSama AjagAma durAtmavAna ॥ 1-132-1 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptस पुरॊचनम एकान्तम आनीय भरतर्षभ गृहीत्वा दक्षिणे पाणौ सचिवं वाक्यम अब्रवीत ॥ १-१३२-२ ॥
'And, O bull of the Bharata lineage, Duryodhana then summoned his counselor, Purochana, for a private consultation, grasped his right hand, and said.' ॥ 1-132-2 ॥
english translation
sa puròcanama ekAntama AnIya bharatarSabha gRhItvA dakSiNe pANau sacivaM vAkyama abravIta ॥ 1-132-2 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptममेयं वसुसंपूर्णा पुरॊचन वसुंधरा यथेयं मम तद्वत ते स तां रक्षितुम अर्हसि ॥ १-१३२-३ ॥
'O Purochana, this land is rich in wealth and is mine. Just as it is mine, so it should be yours too; you are indeed worthy of protecting it.' ॥ 1-132-3 ॥
english translation
mameyaM vasusaMpUrNA puròcana vasuMdharA yatheyaM mama tadvata te sa tAM rakSituma arhasi ॥ 1-132-3 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptन हि मे कश चिद अन्यॊ ऽसति वैश्वासिकतरस तवया सहायॊ येन संधाय मन्त्रयेयं यथा तवया ॥ १-१३२-४ ॥
'It is your duty, therefore, to safeguard it. You are my most reliable counselor, and there is no one else with whom I would rather consult.' ॥ 1-132-4 ॥
english translation
na hi me kaza cida anyò 'sati vaizvAsikatarasa tavayA sahAyò yena saMdhAya mantrayeyaM yathA tavayA ॥ 1-132-4 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptसंरक्ष तात मन्त्रं च सपत्नांश च ममॊद्धर निपुणेनाभ्युपायेन यद बरवीमि तथा कुरु ॥ १-१३२-५ ॥
'Therefore, O sire, heed my counsel and eliminate my enemies through a clever stratagem. Please, proceed as I instruct you.' ॥ 1-132-5 ॥

saMrakSa tAta mantraM ca sapatnAMza ca mamòddhara nipuNenAbhyupAyena yada baravImi tathA kuru ॥ 1-132-5 ॥
