'This warrior is worthy of an empire, not just the kingdom of Anga, O king. He is fit for greater rule with his arm's strength and my obedience to his command.' ॥ 1-127-16 ॥

यस्य वा मनुजस्येदं न कषान्तं मद विचेष्टितम रथम आरुह्य पद्भ्यां वा विनामयतु कार्मुकम ॥ १-१२७-१७ ॥
'If anyone finds my actions towards Karna intolerable, let them mount their chariot or string their bow with their feet.' ॥ 1-127-17 ॥

ततः सर्वस्य रङ्गस्या हाहाकारॊ महान अभूत साधुवादानुसंबद्धः सूर्यश चास्तम उपागमत ॥ १-१२७-१८ ॥
'Vaisampayana continued, 'A confused murmur of approval arose among the spectators in response to Duryodhana's speech. Meanwhile, the sun set.'' ॥ 1-127-18 ॥

ततॊ दुर्यॊधनः कर्णम आलम्ब्याथ करे नृप दीपिकाग्निकृतालॊकस तस्माद रङ्गाद विनिर्ययौ ॥ १-१२७-१९ ॥
'Then, Duryodhana, taking Karna by the hand, and with torches lighting their way, left the arena.' ॥ 1-127-19 ॥

पाण्डवाश च सहद्रॊणाः सकृपाश च विशां पते भीष्मेण सहिताः सर्वे ययुः सवं सवं निवेशनम ॥ १-१२७-२० ॥
'And, O king, the Pandavas also, accompanied by Drona and Kripa and Bhishma, returned to their abodes.' ॥ 1-127-20 ॥
