कषत्रियाभ्यश च ये जाता बराह्मणास ते च विश्रुताः आचार्यः कलशाज जातः शरस्तम्बाद गुरुः कृपः भवतां च यथा जन्म तद अप्य आगमितं नृपैः ॥ १-१२७-१४ ॥
'We have heard that individuals born into the Kshatriya lineage have transcended to Brahmanahood. Viswamitra and others, originally Kshatriyas, have attained the eternal Brahman. The foremost wielder of weapons, the preceptor Drona, emerged from a water pot, and Kripa of the Gotama lineage was born from a clump of heath.' ॥ 1-127-14 ॥
