कृत्वा धनुषि ते मार्गान रथचर्यासु चासकृत गजपृष्ठे ऽशवपृष्ठे च नियुद्धे च महाबलाः ॥ १-१२४-२७ ॥

'After showcasing their proficiency in archery and chariotry, the mighty warriors then armed themselves with swords and shields. They proceeded to move around the arena, engaging in weapon play.' ॥ 1-124-27 ॥

kRtvA dhanuSi te mArgAna rathacaryAsu cAsakRta gajapRSThe 'zavapRSThe ca niyuddhe ca mahAbalAH ॥ 1-124-27 ॥
