ततॊ बद्धतनु तराणा बद्धकक्ष्या महाबलाः बद्धतूणाः सधनुषॊ विविशुर भरतर्षभाः ॥ १-१२४-२१ ॥

'Then, having girded up their loins, those mighty warriors, the foremost of the Bharata race, entered the arena. They were equipped with finger-protectors, bows, and quivers.' ॥ 1-124-21 ॥

अनुज्येष्ठं च ते तत्र युधिष्ठिरपुरॊगमाः चक्रुर अस्त्रं महावीर्याः कुमाराः परमाद्भुतम ॥ १-१२४-२२ ॥

'Led by Yudhishthira, the eldest among them, the powerful princes displayed their remarkable skills with weapons in that arena.' ॥ 1-124-22 ॥

'Some of the spectators lowered their heads, apprehending fall of arrows while others fearlessly gazed on with wonder.' ॥ 1-124-23 ॥

'Swiftly riding on horses and skillfully controlling them, the princes began to hit targets with arrows engraved with their individual names.' ॥ 1-124-24 ॥

'And seeing the prowess of the princes armed with bows and arrows, the spectators thought that they were beholding the city of the Gandharvas, became filled with amazement.' ॥ 1-124-25 ॥
