शिष्या इति ददौ राजन दरॊणाय विधिपूर्वकम स च शिष्यान महेष्वासः परतिजग्राह कौरवान ।। १-१२२-४० ।।

sanskrit

'O king, Bhishma formally gave the status of disciples to Drona, according to the rules. And Drona, the great bowman, accepted the Kauravas as his disciples.' ।। 1-122-40 ।।

english translation

ziSyA iti dadau rAjana daròNAya vidhipUrvakama sa ca ziSyAna maheSvAsaH paratijagrAha kauravAna || 1-122-40 ||
