स शुश्राव महात्मानं जामदग्न्यं परंतपम बराह्मणेभ्यस तदा राजन दित्सन्तं वसु सर्वशः ।। १-१२१-१६ ।।

sanskrit

'O king, it was around this time that Drona learned that the illustrious Brahmana Jamadagnya, the destroyer of enemies, the foremost among all wielders of weapons and versed in all kinds of knowledge, had expressed his intention to donate all his wealth to Brahmanas.' ।। 1-121-16 ।।

english translation

sa zuzrAva mahAtmAnaM jAmadagnyaM paraMtapama barAhmaNebhyasa tadA rAjana ditsantaM vasu sarvazaH || 1-121-16 ||
