सतम्भॊ हि मे सपत्नीत्वाद वक्तुं कुन्ति सुतां परति यदि तु तवं परसन्नॊ मे सवयम एनां परचॊदय ॥ १-११५-६ ॥
'As she is my rival, I feel hesitant to ask her for any favor. If you are inclined to help me, O king, then please request her to fulfill my desire.' ॥ 1-115-6 ॥

[प] ममाप्य एष सदा माद्रि हृद्य अर्थः परिवर्तते न तु तवां परसहे वक्तुम इष्टानिष्ट विवक्षया ॥ १-११५-७ ॥
'Hearing her, Pandu replied, 'O Madri, I have indeed contemplated this matter often in my own mind. However, I have hesitated to share anything with you thus far, unsure of how you would receive it.' ॥ 1-115-7 ॥

तव तव इदं मतं जञात्वा परयतिष्याम्य अतः परम मन्ये धरुवं मयॊक्ता सा वचॊ मे परतिपत्स्यते ॥ १-११५-८ ॥
'Now that I understand your desires, I will certainly endeavor to fulfill them. I believe that if I request Kunti, she will not refuse.' ॥ 1-115-8 ॥

[व] ततः कुन्तीं पुनः पाण्डुर विविक्त इदम अब्रवीत कुलस्य मम संतानं लॊकस्य च कुरु परियम ॥ १-११५-९ ॥
'Vaisampayana continued, 'After this, Pandu addressed Kunti privately, saying, 'O Kunti, please bless me with more offspring to expand our lineage and benefit the world.'"' ॥ 1-115-9 ॥

मम चापिण्ड नाशाय पूर्वेषाम अपि चात्मनः मत्प्रियार्थं च कल्याणि कुरु कल्याणम उत्तमम ॥ १-११५-१० ॥
'Furthermore, for the welfare and prosperity of both our ancestors and ourselves, please fulfill my cherished wish, O Kunti.' ॥ 1-115-10 ॥
