इत्य उक्ताहं तदा तेन पितृवेश्मनि भारत बराह्मणेन वचस तथ्यं तस्य कालॊ ऽयम आगतः ॥ १-११३-३६ ॥
'And, O princess, you shall also bear children through his blessings." O Bharata, the Brahmana told me this while I resided in my father's house.' ॥ 1-113-36 ॥
english translation
itya uktAhaM tadA tena pitRvezmani bhArata barAhmaNena vacasa tathyaM tasya kAlò 'yama AgataH ॥ 1-113-36 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअनुज्ञाता तवया देवम आह्वयेयम अहं नृप तेन मन्त्रेण राजर्षे यथा सयान नौ परजा विभॊ ॥ १-११३-३७ ॥
'The words spoken by the Brahmana are infallible, and the time has arrived for them to bear fruit. At your command, O royal sage, I can invoke any celestial being using that mantra, enabling us to have virtuous children.' ॥ 1-113-37 ॥
english translation
anujJAtA tavayA devama Ahvayeyama ahaM nRpa tena mantreNa rAjarSe yathA sayAna nau parajA vibhò ॥ 1-113-37 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptआवाहयामि कं देवं बरूहि तत्त्वविदां वर तवत्तॊ ऽनुज्ञा परतीक्षां मां विद्ध्य अस्मिन कर्मणि सथिताम ॥ १-११३-३८ ॥
'O foremost among the truthful, please tell me which celestial being I should invoke. Know that I await your instructions regarding this matter.' ॥ 1-113-38 ॥
english translation
AvAhayAmi kaM devaM barUhi tattvavidAM vara tavattò 'nujJA paratIkSAM mAM viddhya asmina karmaNi sathitAma ॥ 1-113-38 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscript[प] अद्यैव तवं वरारॊहे परयतस्व यथाविधि धर्मम आवाहय शुभे स हि देवेषु पुण्यभाक ॥ १-११३-३९ ॥
'Hearing this, Pandu responded, "O beautiful one, endeavor today to fulfill our desires appropriately. O fortunate one, summon the god of justice, for he is the most virtuous among the celestials."' ॥ 1-113-39 ॥

[pa] adyaiva tavaM varAròhe parayatasva yathAvidhi dharmama AvAhaya zubhe sa hi deveSu puNyabhAka ॥ 1-113-39 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअधर्मेण न नॊ धर्मः संयुज्येत कथं चन लॊकश चायं वरारॊहे धर्मॊ ऽयम इति मंस्यते ॥ १-११३-४० ॥
'The god of justice and virtue will never be able to pollute us with sin. The world also, O beautiful princess, will then think that what we do can never be unholy.' ॥ 1-113-40 ॥

adharmeNa na nò dharmaH saMyujyeta kathaM cana lòkaza cAyaM varAròhe dharmò 'yama iti maMsyate ॥ 1-113-40 ॥
