सौदासेन च रम्भॊरु नियुक्तापत्य जन्मनि मदयन्ती जगामर्षिं वसिष्ठम इति नः शरुतम ॥ १-११३-२१ ॥

sanskrit

'O thou of tapering thighs, it is also said that Madayanti, the wife of Saudasa, commanded by her husband to bear a child, approached Sage Vasishtha. Upon her visit, the beautiful Madayanti was blessed with a son named Asmaka.' ॥ 1-113-21 ॥

english translation

saudAsena ca rambhòru niyuktApatya janmani madayantI jagAmarSiM vasiSThama iti naH zarutama ॥ 1-113-21 ॥
