अप्य अत्र गाथां गायन्ति ये पुराणविदॊ जनाः वयुषिताश्वः समुद्रान्तां विजित्येमां वसुंधराम अपालयत सर्ववर्णान पिता पुत्रान इवौरसान ॥ १-११२-१३ ॥
'There is a tale, O foremost of the Kurus, sung by all who know the Puranas, regarding Vyushitaswa, the illustrious ruler. Having subdued the entire Earth up to the shores of the sea, Vyushitaswa cared for all his subjects as a father does for his children.' ॥ 1-112-13 ॥
