शृणु कुन्ति कथां चेमां शार दण्डायनीं परति या वीर पत्नी गुरुभिर नियुक्तापत्य जन्मनि ।। १-१११-३३ ।।

sanskrit

' Therefore, O Kunti, being destitute myself of the power of procreation, I command thee to raise good offspring through some person who is either equal or superior to me.' ।। 1-111-33 ।।

english translation

zRNu kunti kathAM cemAM zAra daNDAyanIM parati yA vIra patnI gurubhira niyuktApatya janmani || 1-111-33 ||
