ऋषिभिश च तदानीता धार्तराष्ट्रान परति सवयम शिशवश चाभिरूपाश च जटिला बरह्मचारिणः ।। १-१-७१।।

'The Rishis guided them into the presence of Dhritarashtra and his sons, where they appeared as students adhering to the Brahmachari lifestyle, with their hair neatly tied in knots on their heads.' ।। 1-1-71 ।।

english translation

RSibhiza ca tadAnItA dhArtarASTrAna parati savayama zizavaza cAbhirUpAza ca jaTilA barahmacAriNaH || 1-1-71||

'When the Kauravas saw them introduced as the sons of Pandu, the distinguished class of citizens shouted exceedingly for joy.' ।। 1-1-73 ।।

'Some, however, said, they were not the sons of Pandu; others said, they were; while a few asked how they could be his offspring, seeing he had been so long dead.' ।। 1-1-74 ।।
