तां स दीर्घतमाङ्गेषु सपृष्ट्वा देवीम अथाब्रवीत भविष्यति कुमारस ते तेजस्वी सत्यवाग इति ॥ १-९८-३१ ॥
'He then touched his wife Sudeshna, who had long limbs, and said, "O illustrious lady, you shall have sons who will be endowed with brilliance and truthfulness."' ॥ 1-98-31 ॥
english translation
tAM sa dIrghatamAGgeSu sapRSTvA devIma athAbravIta bhaviSyati kumArasa te tejasvI satyavAga iti ॥ 1-98-31 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतत्राङ्गॊ नाम राजर्षिः सुदेष्णायाम अजायत एवम अन्ये महेष्वासा बराह्मणैः कषत्रिया भुवि ॥ १-९८-३२ ॥
'In Sudeshna, a royal sage named Anga was born. Similarly, other great warriors were born, raised among the Brahmins, becoming Kshatriyas on Earth.' ॥ 1-98-32 ॥

tatrAGgò nAma rAjarSiH sudeSNAyAma ajAyata evama anye maheSvAsA barAhmaNaiH kaSatriyA bhuvi ॥ 1-98-32 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptजाताः परमधर्मज्ञा वीर्यवन्तॊ महाबलाः एतच छरुत्वा तवम अप्य अत्र मातः कुरु यथेप्सितम ॥ १-९८-३३ ॥
'Thus, in ancient times, the lineage of King Vali was continued through the wisdom and actions of a great sage. From this union, many valorous archers and skilled charioteers, deeply committed to righteousness, emerged in the Kshatriya class, born of Brahmana lineage. Hearing this tale, O mother, please proceed as you deem fit regarding the present matter.' ॥ 1-98-33 ॥

jAtAH paramadharmajJA vIryavantò mahAbalAH etaca charutvA tavama apya atra mAtaH kuru yathepsitama ॥ 1-98-33 ॥
