परयच्छन्त्य अपरे कन्यां मिथुनेन गवाम अपि वित्तेन कथितेनान्ये बलेनान्ये ऽनुमान्य च ॥ १-९६-९ ॥

sanskrit

'Some wed with the consent of the maidens, some by drugging them into consent, and some by going unto the maidens' parents and obtaining their sanction.' ॥ 1-96-9 ॥

english translation

parayacchantya apare kanyAM mithunena gavAma api vittena kathitenAnye balenAnye 'numAnya ca ॥ 1-96-9 ॥
