स धर्मशास्त्रकुशलॊ भीष्मं शांतनवं नृपः पूजयाम आस धर्मेण स चैनं परत्यपालयत ॥ १-९५-१४ ॥

'The king, skilled in the laws of righteousness, honored Bhishma, the son of Shantanu, with dutiful reverence, and Bhishma, in turn, loyally protected him.' ॥ 1-95-14 ॥
