यदॊस तु यादवा जातास तुर्वसॊर यवनाः सुताः दरुह्यॊर अपि सुता भॊजा अनॊस तु मलेच्छ जातयः ।। १-८०-२६ ।।

sanskrit

'The descendants of Yadu are recognized as the Yadavas, and the offspring of Turvasu are known as the Yavanas. The progeny of Druhyu became the Bhojas, and those from Anu are called the Mlecchas.' ।। 1-80-26 ।।

english translation

yadòsa tu yAdavA jAtAsa turvasòra yavanAH sutAH daruhyòra api sutA bhòjA anòsa tu maleccha jAtayaH || 1-80-26 ||

पूरॊस तु पौरवॊ वंशॊ यत्र जातॊ ऽसि पार्थिव इदं वर्षसहस्राय राज्यं कारयितुं वशी ।। १-८०-२७ ।।

'The progeny of Puru, however, are the Pauravas, amongst whom, O monarch, thou art born, to rule for a thousand years with thy passions under complete control.' ।। 1-80-27 ।।

pUròsa tu pauravò vaMzò yatra jAtò 'si pArthiva idaM varSasahasrAya rAjyaM kArayituM vazI || 1-80-27 ||
