'Indulging in playful companionship as they pleased, the sage and Menaka spent a considerable amount of time together, seemingly as if it were just a single day. During this period, the Rishi fathered a daughter named Sakuntala with Menaka.' ॥ 1-66-8 ॥

janayAma Asa sa munira menakAyAM zakuntalAma parasthe himavatò ramye mAlinIma abhitò nadIma ॥ 1-66-8 ॥
