तं भुवः शॊधनायेन्द्र उवाच पुरुषॊत्तमम अंशेनावतरस्वेति तथेत्य आह च तं हरिः ।। १-५८-५१ ।।

sanskrit

'Indra, the supreme ruler of the gods, addressing the Lord of Prajapati, the mighty and auspicious one with the divine whirl on his chest, the controller of all faculties and the adored deity of all gods. Indra, the most eminent among beings, spoke to him, "Manifest yourself in a mortal form." Hari, in response, simply said, "So be it."' ।। 1-58-51 ।।

english translation

taM bhuvaH zòdhanAyendra uvAca puruSòttamama aMzenAvatarasveti tathetya Aha ca taM hariH || 1-58-51 ||
