धन्यं यशस्यम आयुष्यं सवर्ग्यं पुण्यं तथैव च कृष्णद्वैपायनेनेदं कृतं पुण्यचिकीर्षुणा ॥ १-५६-२५ ॥

'To enhance the reputation of the noble-hearted Pandavas and other Kshatriyas well-versed in all fields of knowledge, possessing high spirits, and already renowned for their deeds in the world, Krishna-Dwaipayana, inspired by the noble intention of benefiting humanity, has crafted this composition.' ॥ 1-56-25 ॥
