अथ संधाय ते वीरा एकचक्रां वरजंस तदा बरह्मरूपधरा भूत्वा मात्रा सह परंतपाः ॥ १-५५-२० ॥

'Following their firm vows and deep knowledge of the Vedas, the Pandavas proceeded to a town named Ekachakra, adopting the guise of Brahmacharins. In that town, they resided for a period in the house of a Brahmana, practicing temperance and abstinence.' ॥ 1-55-20 ॥

english translation

atha saMdhAya te vIrA ekacakrAM varajaMsa tadA barahmarUpadharA bhUtvA mAtrA saha paraMtapAH ॥ 1-55-20 ॥
