[स] एवम उक्त्वा तु स पितॄंश चचार पृथिवीं मुनिः न च सम लभते भार्यां वृद्धॊ ऽयम इति शौनक ॥ १-४२-९ ॥

sanskrit

'Sauti continued, 'After speaking thus to the ancestors, the sage roamed the earth once more. However, being old, he did not find a wife.' ॥ 1-42-9 ॥

english translation

[sa] evama uktvA tu sa pitRRMza cacAra pRthivIM muniH na ca sama labhate bhAryAM vRddhò 'yama iti zaunaka ॥ 1-42-9 ॥
