बहूनि नागवर्त्मानि गङ्गायास तीर उत्तरे इच्छेत कॊ ऽरकांशु सेनायां चर्तुम ऐरावतं विना ॥ १-३-१४१ ॥

'On the northern banks of the Ganges are many habitations of serpents. There I constantly adore the great serpents. Who except Airavata would desire to move in the burning rays of the Sun?' ॥ 1-3-141 ॥

english translation

bahUni nAgavartmAni gaGgAyAsa tIra uttare iccheta kò 'rakAMzu senAyAM cartuma airAvataM vinA ॥ 1-3-141 ॥
