बहूनि नागवर्त्मानि गङ्गायास तीर उत्तरे इच्छेत कॊ ऽरकांशु सेनायां चर्तुम ऐरावतं विना ।। १-३-१४१ ।।

sanskrit

'On the northern banks of the Ganges are many habitations of serpents. There I constantly adore the great serpents. Who except Airavata would desire to move in the burning rays of the Sun?' ।। 1-3-141 ।।

english translation

bahUni nAgavartmAni gaGgAyAsa tIra uttare iccheta kò 'rakAMzu senAyAM cartuma airAvataM vinA || 1-3-141 ||
