किम आहृत्य विदित्वा वा किं वा कृत्वेह पौरुषम दास्याद वॊ विप्रमुच्येयं सत्यं शंसत लेलिहाः ॥ १-२३-११ ॥
'Inform us, O serpents, what we must bring, what knowledge we must acquire, or what act of prowess we must undertake to liberate ourselves from this state of bondage to you.' ॥ 1-23-11 ॥

शरुत्वा तम अब्रुवन सर्पा आहरामृतम ओजसा ततॊ दास्याद विप्रमॊक्षॊ भविता तव खेचर ॥ १-२३-१२ ॥
'Sauti continued, 'The snakes, hearing him, said, 'Bring thou amrita by force. Then O bird, shall you be freed from bondage.' ॥ 1-23-12 ॥
