मघवान अपि तिग्मांशुः समिद्धं खाण्डवं वनम ददाह सह कृष्णाभ्यां जनयञ जगतॊ ऽभयम ॥ १-२२५-५ ॥

'It was thus that the illustrious god of fierce rays, having grown stronger, consumed the forest of Khandava with the assistance of Krishna and Arjuna, for the benefit of the world.' ॥ 1-225-5 ॥

english translation

maghavAna api tigmAMzuH samiddhaM khANDavaM vanama dadAha saha kRSNAbhyAM janayaJa jagatò 'bhayama ॥ 1-225-5 ॥
