नैव भार्येति विश्वासः कार्यः पुंसा कथं चन न हि कार्यम अनुध्याति भार्या पुत्रवती सती ॥ १-२२४-३१ ॥
'Therefore, your jealousy towards me resembles Arundhati's towards Vasishtha in ancient times. Men should never fully trust women, even if they are their wives. Women, once they become mothers, often pay less attention to serving their husbands.' ॥ 1-224-31 ॥
