[दरॊण] सूर्यॊ भूत्वा रश्मिभिर जातवेदॊ; भूमेर अम्भॊ भूमिजातान रसांश च विश्वान आदाय पुनर उत्सर्ग काले; सृष्ट्वा वृष्ट्या भावयसीह शुक्र ॥ १-२२३-१६ ॥
'Drona said, "O Sukra, from whose mouth the Vedas have sprung, you assume the form of the sun, absorbing the waters of the earth and every liquid essence it produces. In due time, you return them as rain, nurturing the growth of all."' ॥ 1-223-16 ॥
