स गत्वा तपसः पारं देहम उत्सृज्य भारत जगाम पितृलॊकाय न लेभे तत्र तत फलम ।। १-२२०-७ ।।

sanskrit

'Having crossed the bounds of asceticism, O Bharata, he departed from his mortal form and ascended to the realm of the ancestors. However, upon reaching there, he did not obtain the expected fruit of his deeds.' ।। 1-220-7 ।।

english translation

sa gatvA tapasaH pAraM dehama utsRjya bhArata jagAma pitRlòkAya na lebhe tatra tata phalama || 1-220-7 ||
