[वासु] सवयंवरः कषत्रियाणां विवाहः पुरुषर्षभ स च संशयितः पार्थ सवभावस्यानिमित्ततः ॥ १-२११-२१ ॥
'Vasudeva answered, "O bull among men, self-choice has been ordained for the marriage of Kshatriyas. However, it is fraught with uncertainty in its consequences."' ॥ 1-211-21 ॥
english translation
परसह्य हरणं चापि कषत्रियाणां परशस्यते विवाह हेतॊः शूराणाम इति धर्मविदॊ विदुः ॥ १-२११-२२ ॥
'O Partha, since we do not know the temperament and disposition of this girl, for brave Kshatriyas, the act of forcibly abducting a bride is praised, as the learned have declared.' ॥ 1-211-22 ॥
english translation
स तवम अर्जुन कल्याणीं परसह्य भगिनीं मम हर सवयंवरे हय अस्याः कॊ वै वेद चिकीर्षितम ॥ १-२११-२३ ॥
'"Therefore, O Arjuna, forcibly take away my beautiful sister, for who knows what she might decide at her own swayamvara," said Vasudeva.' ॥ 1-211-23 ॥
english translation
[वै] ततॊ ऽरजुनश च कृष्णश च विनिश्चित्येतिकृत्यताम शीघ्रगान पुरुषान राज्ञ परेषयाम आसतुस तदा ॥ १-२११-२४ ॥
'Then Krishna and Arjuna, having decided on the course of action, swiftly dispatched messengers to Yudhishthira at Indraprastha, informing him of everything.' ॥ 1-211-24 ॥

धर्मराजाय तत सर्वम इन्द्रप्रस्थगताय वै शरुत्वैव च महाबाहुर अनुजज्ञे स पाण्डवः ॥ १-२११-२५ ॥
'Upon hearing everything that had happened, Yudhishthira, the mighty-armed, approved of it, as it was directed towards righteousness and went to Indraprastha.' ॥ 1-211-25 ॥
