शरणं च परपन्नानां शिष्टाः कुर्वन्ति पालनम शरणं तवां परपन्नाः सम तस्मात तवं कषन्तुम अर्हसि ॥ १-२०९-६ ॥
'The eminent always protect those who seek refuge with them. We seek your protection, and you should grant us pardon.' ॥ 1-209-6 ॥
english translation
zaraNaM ca parapannAnAM ziSTAH kurvanti pAlanama zaraNaM tavAM parapannAH sama tasmAta tavaM kaSantuma arhasi ॥ 1-209-6 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscript[वै] एवम उक्तस तु धर्मात्मा बराह्मणः शुभकर्मकृत परसादं कृतवान वीर रविसॊमसमप्रभः ॥ १-२०९-७ ॥
'Vaisampayana continued, "Thus addressed, the Brahmana of virtuous soul and good deeds, equal in splendor to the sun and moon, became gracious toward them, O hero."' ॥ 1-209-7 ॥
english translation
[vai] evama uktasa tu dharmAtmA barAhmaNaH zubhakarmakRta parasAdaM kRtavAna vIra ravisòmasamaprabhaH ॥ 1-209-7 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscript[बराह्मण] शतं सहस्रं विश्वं च सर्वम अक्षय वाचकम परिमाणं शतं तव एतन नैतद अक्षय वाचकम ॥ १-२०९-८ ॥
'And the Brahmana said, "The terms 'hundred' and 'hundred thousand' are all indicative of eternity."' ॥ 1-209-8 ॥
english translation
[barAhmaNa] zataM sahasraM vizvaM ca sarvama akSaya vAcakama parimANaM zataM tava etana naitada akSaya vAcakama ॥ 1-209-8 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptयदा च वॊ गराहभूता गृह्णन्तीः पुरुषाञ जले उत्कर्षति जलात कश चित सथलं पुरुषसत्तमः ॥ १-२०९-९ ॥
'Therefore, for a hundred years, as I have explained, you shall become crocodiles, seizing and taking away men. At the end of that period, a noble individual will pull you all from the water to the land.' ॥ 1-209-9 ॥

yadA ca vò garAhabhUtA gRhNantIH puruSAJa jale utkarSati jalAta kaza cita sathalaM puruSasattamaH ॥ 1-209-9 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतदा यूयं पुनः सर्वाः सवरूपं परतिपत्स्यथ अनृतं नॊक्तपूर्वं मे हसतापि कदा चन ॥ १-२०९-१० ॥
'Then you will all resume your real forms. I have never spoken an untruth, not even in jest.' ॥ 1-209-10 ॥

tadA yUyaM punaH sarvAH savarUpaM paratipatsyatha anRtaM nòktapUrvaM me hasatApi kadA cana ॥ 1-209-10 ॥
