गायन्त्यॊ वै हसन्त्यश च लॊभयन्त्यश च तं दविजम स च नास्मासु कृतवान मनॊ वीर कथं चन नाकम्पत महातेजाः सथितस तपसि निर्मले ।। १-२०८-२० ।।

sanskrit

'We sang, smiled, and attempted to tempt that Brahmana youth. However, O hero, he did not once set his heart upon us. With his mind firmly fixed on pure meditation and his great energy, he did not allow his heart to waver. ' ।। 1-208-20 ।।

english translation

gAyantyò vai hasantyaza ca lòbhayantyaza ca taM davijama sa ca nAsmAsu kRtavAna manò vIra kathaM cana nAkampata mahAtejAH sathitasa tapasi nirmale || 1-208-20 ||
