पराप्य राज्यं महातेजाः सत्यसंधॊ युधिष्ठिरः पालयाम आस धर्मेण पृथिवीं भरातृभिः सह ।। १-२००-६ ।।

sanskrit

'And Yudhishthira, endowed with great energy and steadfast in truth, virtuously ruled the kingdom after obtaining sovereignty, supported by his brothers.' ।। 1-200-6 ।।

english translation

parApya rAjyaM mahAtejAH satyasaMdhò yudhiSThiraH pAlayAma Asa dharmeNa pRthivIM bharAtRbhiH saha || 1-200-6 ||

जितारयॊ महाप्राज्ञाः सत्यधर्मपरायणाः मुदं परमिकां पराप्तास तत्रॊषुः पाण्डुनन्दनाः ।। १-२००-७ ।।

sanskrit

'And the sons of Pandu, endowed with great wisdom and dedicated to truth and virtue, having conquered all their enemies, continued to dwell there in great happiness.' ।। 1-200-7 ।।

english translation

jitArayò mahAprAjJAH satyadharmaparAyaNAH mudaM paramikAM parAptAsa tatròSuH pANDunandanAH || 1-200-7 ||

कुर्वाणाः पौरकार्याणि सर्वाणि पुरुषर्षभाः आसां चक्रुर महार्हेषु पार्थिवेष्व आसनेषु च ।। १-२००-८ ।।

'And those distinguished men, seated on valuable royal thrones, diligently carried out all the responsibilities of governance.' ।। 1-200-8 ।।

kurvANAH paurakAryANi sarvANi puruSarSabhAH AsAM cakrura mahArheSu pArthiveSva AsaneSu ca || 1-200-8 ||

अथ तेषूपविष्टेषु सर्वेष्व एव महात्मसु नारदस तव अथ देवर्षिर आजगाम यदृच्छया आसनं रुचिरं तस्मै परददौ सवं युधिष्ठिरः ।। १-२००-९ ।।

'And one day, while all those illustrious heroes were so seated, there came unto them the celestial Rishi Narada, in course of his wanderings.' ।। 1-200-9 ।।

atha teSUpaviSTeSu sarveSva eva mahAtmasu nAradasa tava atha devarSira AjagAma yadRcchayA AsanaM ruciraM tasmai paradadau savaM yudhiSThiraH || 1-200-9 ||

देवर्षेर उपविष्टस्य सवयम अर्घ्यं यथाविधि परादाद युधिष्ठिरॊ धीमान राज्यं चास्मै नयवेदयत ।। १-२००-१० ।।

sanskrit

'Upon seeing the Rishi, Yudhishthira offered him his own splendid seat. Once the celestial Rishi was seated, the wise Yudhishthira personally offered him the Arghya. Subsequently, the king briefed the Rishi about the state of his kingdom.' ।। 1-200-10 ।।

devarSera upaviSTasya savayama arghyaM yathAvidhi parAdAda yudhiSThirò dhImAna rAjyaM cAsmai nayavedayata || 1-200-10 ||
