वसूनां पुनर उत्पत्तिर भागीरथ्यां महात्मनाम शंतनॊर वेश्मनि पुनस तेषां चारॊहणं दिवि ॥ १-२-७८ ॥

' This parva also describes the greatness of Bhagirathi, and the births of the Vasus in the house of Santanu and their ascension to heaven.' ॥ 1-2-78 ॥
