एतत पर्व शतं पूर्णं वयासेनॊक्तं महात्मना यथावत सूतपुत्रेण लॊमहर्षणिना पुनः ॥ १-२-७० ॥

'The high-souled Vyasa composed these hundred parvas of which the above is only an abridgment: having distributed them into eighteen, the son of Suta recited them consecutively in the forest of Naimisha as follows:' ॥ 1-2-70 ॥

english translation

etata parva zataM pUrNaM vayAsenòktaM mahAtmanA yathAvata sUtaputreNa lòmaharSaNinA punaH ॥ 1-2-70 ॥
